4 athletes heading to CUTs; Bellafonte off to NACAC U23s

Four young athletes are off to represent the Cayman Islands at the 2016 Caribbean Union of Teachers Track and Field Championships.

Ashantae Graham (200 & long jump), Tor Ann Gonez (100), Rachel Pascal (ball throw & shot put) and Anthony Chin Jr. (long jump & 80 metres) left 12 July for the meet, which begins 15 July.

Elizabeth Ibeh serves as manager for the team while the coach is Anthony Chin.

Also heading off for international competition this week is Jorel Bellafonte.

Having just wrapped up his sophomore season running for Clemson University, Bellafonte is set to participate in the North American, Central and Caribbean Athletics Association (NACAC) Under-23 Championships. The meet also begins 15 July.
