Allyson Felix this summer heads to the Olympics for the first time in her career not having qualified to run in the women’s 200-metres.

The three-time Olympian — who already qualified for the Games in the 400 earlier this year — was nipped by Jenna Prandini 11 July at the US Olympic Trials.

Prandini — who ran in Cayman in May at the Cayman Invitational — beat Felix by one one-hundredth of a second to take third place in the event and earn her first Olympic berth.
