An investigation is underway following an assault at this weekend’s Wet Fete party where a woman suffered a dislocated shoulder.

Police say a man was found with cuts to his head and face and highly intoxicated along Cardinall Avenue. He was taken to hospital, treated for minor injuries and released.

However, as police probed further, they learned he was involved in an altercation with a group of women at the fete. During that scuffle, one of the women suffered the shoulder injury. The man was arrested for assault and is now out on police bail.
