Cayman Islands’ National Under-17 Football team beat Aruba 4-0 on Wednesday (20 July) in their Caribbean Football Union Under-17 World Cup qualifying opener.
Cody Ebanks, Alexander Clarke, Kareem Foster and Kion Parchment each scored for Cayman, which now leads Group 2.
Ebanks opened scoring for the local squad in the 10th minute when a cross into the box was headed in his direction and he sent the loose ball home with a right-footed strike.
Clarke added another score just before the half while Foster and Parchment struck in second half.
In the day’s other game, Haiti beat Puerto Rico, 3-0. Cayman leads Group 2 on points-differential.

Round two of group play is set for Friday (22 July).
Haiti kicks off with Aruba at 5 p.m. while Cayman plays Puerto Rico at 7:30 p.m. Both matches will be held at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex.
