Cayman Islands swimmers hauled in 13 medals at the Caribbean Islands Swimming Championships. (UPDATE: after receiving official results from the team, Cayman won 13 medals — not 12 as said in the video — as Catriona MacRae won two medals in open water swimming as opposed to one).

Cayman won 11 medals in the pool and two in the open water session to finish eighth overall as a team.

Sabine Ellison led the way with four medals, including two gold, one silver and a bronze.

Lauren Hew finished with two medals, one gold and one silver while Alex McCallum won a single silver. Catriona MacRae won a silver and bronze in the open water swimming portion of the competition.

Avery Lambert, Ria Plunkett, Alison Jackson, Corey Frederick-Westerborg and Catriona MacRae each won a single bronze medal.
