Local offshore law-firm Harneys has celebrated recent recognition from a trade journal as offshore law firm of the year.

Harneys Senior Associate Jonathan McLean said the recent successes of the company is more than improving the firm and said the firm’s success extends itself into the wider community of up and coming Caymanian lawyers.

“I believe we’re currently at 62 people on ground here now. Many of these are Caymanian including myself, we’ve had five attorneys in the mentorship programme with Cayman Finance and now subsequently we’ve had 6 summer students here currently on the ground,” Mr. McLean said.

Mr. McLean said young Caymanians looking to join the legal industry should embrace hard-work and utilise available resources.
