The accident happened around one o’clock Monday (11 July) afternoon shutting down a section of Crewe Road. Other vehicles may have been impacted from the accident.

Members of the police service controlled traffic in the area while diverting commuters through South Sound Road.

Drivers travelling through Crewe Road to George Town had to travel through old Crewe Road. Police said after the collision into the pole the Caribbean Utilities Company (CUC) disconnected power going to the pole.

The cause of the accident is undetermined.
