Kenneth Bryan said the trust granted to inmates from the Northward Prison to be allowed back into communities, helps the public to familiarise with those who have made mistakes and work closely alongside men and women who can otherwise be de-humanized.

The political hopeful says allowing inmates to be involved in community projects helps in the re-integration of the inmates and offers community members a chance at forgiveness.

“They have to start to be re-integrated into the society by way of people saying hey you know maybe you’ve made a mistake but it’s OK. Come in my community so when they are released, the process of coming back into the community is a lot easier,” Mr. Bryan said of the temporary release of inmates.

Mr. Bryan was one of tonight’s guests on “the panel,” along with former George Town representative Lucille Seymour who discussed voter concerns.
