Inspired by his Caymanian heritage, artist Gordon Solomon has opened a new exhibition.

Traditionally known for his “spots of light” style of artwork, Mr. Solomon has released a new series of paintings, based on memories of his youth and time spent dancing away at Batabano.

“Part of finding myself was this whole spots of light that a lot of people are drawn to and my spots of light always have Cayman traditional pieces in it. So, I think having my culture, finding myself and putting that all together in an experience is what made and established me as a Caymanian artist,” said Mr. Solomon.

Gordon Solomon’s abstract exhibition started last night and runs for two weeks at the Cayman catboat club in George Town.
