The Pirates week mud run results are in and Sam Young remains the undisputed king of the course for the third year in a row. Hundreds of participants to the obstacle course which is designed to test even the most agile and nimble of athletes; but fun and safe enough for the entire family to enjoy.
In the men’s division Sam Young leads the way, making him a 3 time champion. He finished the course in 22:24. Hot on his heals was Gregg Mica was only 6 seconds behind him, with a time of 22:30 to snatch the second place. Dan Bryer rounds the top three to take home the bronze medal, with a time of 24:53.
Over in the women’s division Judy Rivers cruise into first place with a time of 29:38. But it was a neck to neck race to the finish for Silviya Toncheva and Mia Shark. Toncheva edged out Shark by 2 seconds. to take the silver. their times were 34:56 and 34:58.
Muddy Hell took first place for the team division with a time of 29:26. They were followed by Crossfit7mile who crossed the finish line in 30;82, Kravemage Cayman, secure their spot in the top three with a time of 32:12.
In the children’s division. Matthew Huys was the first male to cross the line, in the 5-8 years group. He was followed by Andre Massias who crossed the line in second. Fin Hirst finished third.
