What is Brexit

With the announcement on June 24 of the United Kingdom voting to leave the European Union through the referendum Brexit in which everyone (or nearly everyone) of voting age can take part, it has been one thing after another.  On Daybreak today we want to recap on what has actually happened.

February 18 – Announcement EU Referendum Date
April 13: “Vote Leave” Campaign Announced
April 15: Referendum Campaign Begins
May 5: Elections Across Britain
June 23: EU Referendum Polling Day
24 June: British public votes to leave the European Union
Leave: 52%
Stay: 48%
