On the 23 August big story, we’re talking about keeping young athletes safe in the Cayman Islands by making sure coaches are properly vetted and law-abiding citizens.

This week a former Cayman Islands track and field coach was arrested in Miami and now faces charges of indecent assault of a minor in Cayman.

In 2014, a youth football coach was sent to prison for having sex with a 13-year old player.

But vetting coaches is more complicated than it may first appear.

Cayman 27 Sports Producer Kevin Morales joins Tammi Sulliman live on set to talk about the issue.
