Department of Environment conservation officers catch poachers red-handed, and to make matters worse, the bust took place in a replenishment zone.

Sunday, DOE patrols noticed four individuals snorkeling in a suspicious manner off Frank Sound. The group even had a lookout posted on shore. Conservation officers responded, blocking in the suspects’ vehicle before the snorkelers could get away.

The DOE uncovered 46 fish, 59 conch, and 10 lobsters – all taken illegally – as well as two illegal spearguns.

The ill-gotten gains were confiscated and donated to Meals on Wheels.
