Dr. Guy Harvey’s Shark Talk is coming back for a second year, and he’s bringing along some major players in the world of ocean conservation.

National Geographic explorer-in-residence Dr. Silvia Earle, a true rockstar in the field of marine biology, will be on hand to deliver the keynote address at the November fundraiser, which will benefit the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation.

In addition, Dr. Harvey will be debuting a new and exciting documentary featuring the ocean’s top predators.

“It’s going to showcase the experience of five Caymanian high school kids who came with us on a shark diving expedition. We experienced diving with many different species of sharks, including big tiger sharks…So we are going to hear all about their first-hand experience,” said Dr. Harvey.

It all takes place November 10th through 12th, at the soon-to-be opened Kimpton hotel and at the cinemas at Camana Bay.

The premise of shark talk is to counter some of the misconceptions about sharks that can arise from sensationalised programmes like Skark Week on cable television.
