Maitland’s success shows power of Caymanian mentorship

The woman who on Wednesday 3 August became the latest Caymanian attorney admitted to the bar says mentorship worked for her, thanks to a role model we often see on the news.

Thea Maitland attributed a lot of her success to the mentorship she received from Cabinet Minister Hon. Wayne Panton, who she says guided her on some tough decision-making about her future.

“You know he’s acted as a great role model to me you know always there guiding and supporting me through major life decisions and I’m just really thankful to him and his role in my life,” she said.

Minister Panton was an equity partner with Walkers, a goal which Thea said she is hoping to accomplish by following in her mentor’s footsteps.
