The Cayman Islands Netball Association is in need of a bus for players who are unable to make it to the Truman Bodden Sports Complex.
The CINA has started their fundraising efforts by selling raffle tickets, their goal is to raise enough money for one 15 seater bus.
CINA’s Technical Director Violet Corbin says many students are struggling to make practice due to transportation restraints.
“I’m literally begging parents to drop their kids off and it was difficult, it’s not that they didn’t want to, but the time to pick up from school, drop of here and drop of there is a bit difficult. I was doing all the travelling. I needed all the bodies at the same place. The only way you could do this is if you lived in George Town and could get to the Sports Complex , but what if you lived anywhere else.”
Ms. Corbin says she see talent all around the island and in order to grow that talent, a reliable form of transformation would help the association immensely.
The CINA’s aim is to raise $20,000.
