The largest sports club in the Cayman Islands, Elite Sports Club is currently recruiting players for the upcoming season.

Elite SC has grown into one of the most successful football programmes on Island, winning the Men’s FA Cup in June. In the 2015/16 season they won the U-15 Girls League Championship, U-15 Girls FA Cup Champions, Women President’s Cup Champions, U-21 League Champions and the Men’s FA Cup Champions.

Men’s Head Coach, Gregory Ebanks, says the club is looking to boost its numbers for the youth programme especially the Under-15 and Under-17 boys’ teams, that competition begins in October.

Ebanks said in a statement the club is continually striving to take its players to a higher level, “after the season we are planning to take our youth teams away and play games or participate in an overseas football camp.” He added, “Elite’s Premier League Team is presently considering playing in CFU, and this will entail increasing all areas of training, to facilitate this high level of football.”

The local football season will kick off this Sunday at 7 pm with the Charity Shield, Elite Sports Club against Scholars International at Ed Bush.
