Fair competition on fuel prices coming

Chief Petroleum Inspector Duke Munroe said his office is ramping up its efforts to ensure there is fair competition among Cayman’s fuel suppliers.

Two bills heading to the Legislative Assembly next month will address how government plans to track fuel prices and guard against price gouging at the pump.

“What we are planning to do currently is to have that information that is coming all the way from the supply chain from the refinery all the way down to the end users,” Mr. Munroe said.
