It’s not exactly the English premier league, but these football fanatics came out Saturday ( 24 September) for a real-life version of Foosball.
The novel idea for the human version of the popular pastime was the brainchild of the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman and saw about 300 people come out to have some fun at Camana Bay.
The Club’s fundraising director Chris Bailey says he saw it on a Youtube video and realised it could work for his club, especially because it’s an idea that hasn’t been tried in Cayman before.
“People have come by and just gone, we need to do more of this, some different events, we have to think, I know it sounds cheesy, but we have to think outside of the box when we are doing fundraising because people will gladly give money to funds if they are having fun,” said Mr Bailey.
The money raised will be going toward the community services that the club provides throughout the year.
