Do you know someone deserving of National Hero status?….
Well Friday (30 September) is your last day to nominate that person for national recognition.
Jennifer Ahearn, chair of the National Heroes Day committee says, after midnight Friday no more nominations will be accepted.

She said the 2017 theme is tourism and it’s focused on tourism pioneers, both Caymanian and non-Caymanian and Ms Ahearn says it’s up to you to shine the spotlight on those deserving of national honour.

“Please do not assume just because it is somebody that you think of and you think everybody will know about and everybody will nominate that someone else will nominate them. Please take the time, make sure that you nominate someone that you think is deserving. Do not assume that someone else will do it,” Ms Ahearn said.

Nomination forms are available at Government Administration Building or online at the Ministry of Health’s website Completed nomination forms or inquires can be sent to
National Heroes Day celebration will take place at Heroes Square, George town on Monday, 23 January.
