Caymanian Kareem Streete-Thompson has accepted a position as Associate Head Track and Field Coach at the University of Texas-San Antonio.
Streete-Thompson’s wife, Jackie Richards, also will join the programme as an assistant.
Streete-Thompson most recently coached at the University of Texas, working with the sprinters and horizontal jumpers. He coached at the University of Missouri prior to his arrival with the Longhorns.
The three-time Olympian represented the Cayman Islands at several major international championships. He’s believed to be one of two athletes in history ever to run a sub-10 second 100-metre dash and long jump over 28 feet.
