Bahamas warms up for Beach Worldcup

Bahamas is set to host the CONCACAF 2017 Beach Soccer Championships which is scheduled for February 20- 26 in Nassau.

The Championships will include a field of sixteen teams:
Eight teams from the Caribbean Football Union: Antigua & Barbuda, Bahamas, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Jamaica,Trinidad & Tobago, Turks & Caicos, US Virgin Islands. Three from North America: Canada, Mexico, United States. Five from the Central American Football Union: Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala and Panama.

The Bahamas will also host the 2017 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup. Cayman put in a bid for the Beach Soccer Championships a few years ago, but withdrew the bid a few months later.

She graduated with honors in Broadcast Journalism from the University of South Florida
