Cannabis Oil changes in LA

Legislative changes paving the way for legalised use, prescription and importation of Cannabis oil in Cayman was tabled on Friday (7 October) closing off a busy week for legislators.
We’ve mentioned that around 30 bills are being introduced by Government in this current LA meeting. So far seventeen have been approved, including the Non-Profits Organisation Bill. Bills tabled thus far include the Misuse of Drugs Amendment Bill.
Other bills included; Proceeds of Crime, Police Law Amendment, Penal Code Amendment, a Customs Amendment.

The LA resumes on Monday and 10am. Most of the bills tabled this week will move second reading and Committee stage before final passage.
