Political hopeful Kenneth Bryan and his supporter Dr. Steve Tomlinson are on a media road show, touting the need to change the parliamentary system to benefit more independent candidates and bring awareness to the voter about how a vote of an independent candidate could be in their best interest.

Currently we have the Westminster system, which lends itself to what’s called collective responsibility and the flourishing of the political parties.

On Thursday night’s The Panel Dr. Tomlinson says that needs to change now. “Certainly it is my opinion and that of many voters, this is not the best system for these islands. We believe it creates a lot of divisiveness. Why now? I feel we should be looking at a different system that can perhaps provide the answers and can solve the problems in a different way,” he said.
