Confusion reigned in LA on Tuesday as Education Minister Hon. Tara Rivers opened debate on the long-awaited Education Bill. The bill made its way to the House for a third time on Tuesday was finally debated.
The Education Minister was put on the spot as MLAs questioned which version of the bill was being dealt with in the sitting. The Education Bill was gazetted in April and moved off the LA agenda in consecutive meetings.
Since then Minister Rivers explained comments on the legislation were reviewed and adjustments made, prompting further confusion.

“Update that set of amendments with new amendments to come now to update this one? Is that  correct? Because I am confused, I really am in this,” Mr McLean contended.
A brief suspension of the House was taken so the copies of the bill could be sorted out and Minister Rivers continue her presentation.
