World renowned artist and conservationist Guy Harvey premieres his new documentary next month at the second annual Shark Talk Cayman event.

The film, ‘This is your ocean, part 2,’ features five Caymanian teenagers and their experiences interacting with sharks in the Bahamas. Including a 15-foot tiger shark. Forget what you’ve seen on Discovery channel Shark Week. This latest installment in Dr. Harvey’s series of marine science-based films delivers a more realistic portrait of the ocean’s top predators.

“Typically sharks have been turned into villains by all the press over many years, in fact, this whole documentary series and Cayman Shark Talk is all about devilifying sharks and showing them in their true environment, really showing kids, as they’ll see in the documentary, that they aren’t the villains of the ocean as they are being portrayed by human beings,” said Dr. Harvey.

Shark Talk Cayman takes place November 12th at the Kimpton Seafire.

“Her deepness,” the legendary Dr. Silvia Earle will be on hand to deliver a keynote address.
