During the Hurricane’s passage over Haiti, there were some Haitians here in Grand Cayman, accompanying their children who were undergoing heart surgery at Health City Cayman Islands.

The dozen or so parents and children were allowed to leave on the Cayman Airways flight that delivered aid to those in need last sunday.

“You know, left her family, her jobs and everything to go there to have the surgery and now they are able to get back to their country and they are very happy because they are going to take care of their families and everything is going to take care of all these things back,” said Jhei Ssanaotileau.
Trip organizer Matthew Leslie will join me in our next half-hour to tell us more about the relief efforts and the Haitians affected by the disaster.
