Each month, students at Prospect Primary start their school day learning about different life qualities and this month’s theme is independence.

Reverend Torrance Bobb from the First Assembly of God attended Prospect Primary’s morning assembly, telling them about older person’s month as well as passing along the message of independence.

The local pastor told the students it’s about doing the right thing, especially when no one is watching.

“We defined independence for this particular exercise as doing the right thing on your own and so many times children and not only children even adults when they are on their own they feel that they can do whatever they want,” Rev. Bobb said.

Pastor Bobb said we live in a society where we expect others to solve our problems, and added for this very reason it is critical to teach the lesson of independence at these key stages.
