One European football ambassador blames Jeffrey Webb’s criminal activity as a reason FIFA disbanded its Anti-Racism and Discrimination Task Force.

Speaking at the Leaders Sport Business Summit, Football Against Racism in Europe (FARE) Director Piara Powar said, “I think one of the reasons behind the decision was that it was chaired by someone who has been indicted by the US authorities.”

Webb is the former FIFA Vice-President and President of CONCACAF and the Cayman Islands Football Association who pleaded guilty in US Federal court to several counts of fraud in connection with the global corruption probe in the sport.
