Cayman’s Zika outbreak certainly seems to be on the decline but health officials have recently identified one additional case, meaning the official number of locally transmitted cases has reached 20.
The case was actually confirmed in Trinidad but was contracted in George Town.
The patient is a woman and not pregnant.
Our last report earlier this month also mentioned 10 imported cases, bringing the total number of lab-confirmed cases in Cayman to 30.

Public Health has now concluded a series of town hall meetings in all the districts of Grand Cayman as well as on Cayman Brac.
