The Cayman Islands Motorcycle Riders Association (CIMRA) is getting ready for their 11th annual “Toys for Tots” giveaways and they are making early preparations for the celebrations.
CIMRA President Keith Keller said the Toy drive will start ahead of schedule on Nov 28th this year to give the association enough time to gather the toys for their big function on Dec 10th and 11th.
“That’s what we have to do to give us a little bit of time to collect toys so our barrels are going to go out at Cost-u-less, The Book Nook, Atlantic Kids and numerous places,” Mr. Keller said.
CIMRA’s Vice President Karysa Ebanks said this year’s target is about stepping up the number of toys from last year’s 1100 toys to much higher numbers.
“Each year we set a target not only do we hit it but we often surpass that and it just goes to show how many kids in our community are really depending on us to make a difference for them you know every Christmas,” Ms. Ebanks said.
Mr. Keller said he is inviting members of the public who wish to donate toys or corporations willing to host dress down days to raise funds for the cause may give the proceeds at Cost-U-Less, Atlantic Kids and The Book Nook.
