The extradition hearing date for one local athletics coach has been set. The coach fled Cayman earlier this year after being accused of indecently assaulting a minor.

The 37-year-old man is due to appear before a U.S. District Court on November 29 in Miami, FL for a hearing that will decide whether he will be sent back to Cayman to face charges.

A US judge ordered earlier this year the man be detained without bond. The coach was charge in Cayman on June 24 with two counts of indecent assault, one charge of gross indecency and one charge of misuse of an Information and Communications Technology Authority network in relation to an underage female victim.

Cayman 27 will not name the man in order to protect the identity of the victim.
