44 health services authority (H.S.A)workers are now Fire Marshalls accredited by the A.I.D Training company in the United Kingdom (UK).
The H.S.A employees are now tasked with the responsibility of ensuring proper evacuation procedures are carried out in the event of a fire and in making sure equipment functions are to the best standard.
H.S.A ‘S Occupational Health and Safety Officer Mrs. Debra Gaffigan said it was important to have her staff recognised internationally.
“The fire safety course and the Fire Marshall course are UK accredited courses so we wanted to provide something that was recognised,” Mrs. Gaffigan said.
