A look now at what has been heralded as the tourism kick starter – Pirates Week.

For 39 years, the event has beckoned to the inner pirate in all of us, while at the same time luring visitors to our islands a little earlier than they would normally come. At least, that is how pirates week has been touted. Is it the revenue earner the tourism sector believes it is?
