Super six girls kick off gymnastic 2016/2017 competitive season

Motions Unlimited Gymnastics team kicked off their 2016/2017 competitive season last month in Lakeland, Florida at the Gasparilla Fall Invitational.

The “super six” girls level 4 team claimed the 2nd place overall team victory. Tyler Woolaver posted top scores for the group earning silver on bars and placing 5th overall in her age group. The other team members tackled the four events of bars, beam, floor and vault refining their mental and physical competition skills.

Their international schedule resumes in 2017 with boys traveling to the West Point Open in New York.Both boys and girls will return to Florida in February to the Gasparilla Classic Meet.

Cayman is also expected to field a strong team for the Caribbean Gymnastics Championships in Barbados in April.

Jade was one of 35 Young Reporters selected worldwide to be apart of the Young Reporters Programme by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) at the Second Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China. Jade was the Press Officer for the Cayman Islands Olympic Committee at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janerio, Brazil. She graduated with honors in Broadcast Journalism from the University of South Florida
