Brianna Wilkerson, an accountant and small business operator, is the 2016 recipient of the Young Caymanian Leadership Award.

A 2007 graduate of Triple C school, Ms. Wilkerson work with PWC and also runs her own health coaching and wellness business.

“It’s kind of surreal. I don’t think it’s hit me yet,” she said. “I’m honoured. All the finalists were really amazing, so it’s an honour and a responsibility, too.”

Ms. Wilkerson will craft a platform in keeping with her entrepreneurial principle of helping others to learn their purpose and make the most of their potential.

“Help them, show them that there’s a Caymanian who’s walked in their shoes who worked hard and made a name for herself and accomplished her dreams.”

The 16 annual editions of the YCLA have recognised 80 young leaders as finalists or recipients. The Saturday evening (5 November) function was also the first official event for the new Kimpton Seafire resort.
