Cannabis oil a last resort

Pharmacists Association Chairman Michael Anderson says even though cannabis oil use is now legal it’s not a first option choice for treatment.
In fact, he says it’s something prescribed when traditional medicine is no longer effective.
He’s hopeful cannabis oil products bring relief for patients that have exhausted other options, and he says that’s something we should all welcome.
“It will be the treatment for chronic conditions, acute pain and that’s what we are supposed to do, help our patients and if medical marijuana helps then I do not see a reason why they should not,” Mr Anderson says.
And Mr Anderson says don’t expect Cayman to move towards legalising medical marijuana use any time soon.
