Winning gold for Cayman in the Light Heavyweight final was Darial Ebanks. Ebanks defeated Charles Cox of Barbados, going all three rounds with Ebanks getting the victory by judges decision, making him the best Light Heavyweight boxer in the Caribbean. In the Welterweight final Cayman’s Hopkin Ebanks lost to Jamaica’s Jerome Ennis in a 3-round decision. Cayman’s Alex Smith finished the tournament 1-and-1 in the Lightweight division registering his first career win.
