Cuban migrants land in Little Cayman

Twenty-two Cuban migrants ran ground on Cayman Brac Wednesday (8 December) and now are being held in a government home there.

Police, the District Officer and Department of Environment personnel rescued the group after they ran into the reef in the Point of Sand area.
They were transferred to the Brac Wednesday (7 December) and are expected to be taken to Grand Cayman in the next day or two.

Eleven of the 22 migrants have landed in the Cayman Islands before.
