Hew sets two national records at FINA World Championships

Lauren Hew sets two national records at the FINA World Championships.

Alison Jackson and Hew competed in the 100 meter freestyle. Hew was first in her Heat with a time of 56.99 setting another new Person Best (PB), CIASA and Cayman Islands National Record. Hew swam in the girls senior category beat Olympian Lara Butler’s records which she set in October 2015.

Jackson, swam in the girls 13 to 14 age group was 5th in the Heat with a time of 59.24, also setting a new PB, CIASA and Cayman Islands national record.

McCallum had a day’s break and will be diving into the pool on Thursday, 7 December.

All three are scheduled to swim Thursday, 7 December. McCallum in the men’s 50-metre backstroke and freestyle; Jackson in the women’s 100-metre IM; and Hew in the women’s 200-metre backstroke.
