Howell urges unregistered voters to use extra time

Supervisor of Elections Wesley Howell is urging all unregistered voters to make use of the additional time they’ve been given and get registered.
On Friday the Elections Office announced the voter registration deadline has been extended to midnight on January 16.
Mr Howell says he’s hoping the public seizes the opportunity to vote on May 24th.
The January 16 is our deadline at midnight so we will be open here at the Election Office until midnight so folks can come in as they need to “I am urging folks not to leave it all to the last-minute and take the time between now and January 16 to register, we are making it really easy for it to happen,” Mr Howell says.
Elections office will be rolling into various high traffic areas to reach out to unregistered voters to get them on the list.
