Environment Minister Hon. Wayne Panton says there’s no room for complacency when it comes to ensuring our marine environment is safe.

The minister was discussing the recent damage to Eden Rock by a cargo ship on last night’s The Panel. The owners of Saga have accepted liability for the damage.

This is not the only instance of marine life damage by a ship over the years. The minister says it’s easy to become complacent with the number of ships in and out of the port, which is why vigilance must be maintained.
