The National Pensions Amendment Law will come into force on New Year’s Day, but the majority of the changes will take effect in February.

That’s the word from government, who says the changes we will see come 1 January 2017 include the pensionable age change from 60 to 65. Also, the yearly maximum pensionable earnings will increase from $60,000 to $87,000.

In February, we will see the hike in current fines and the introduction of new ones, which includes prison time.
