Police charge chopping suspect

A 58-year old George Town man has been arrested after police say he chopped another man with a machete.

Police say around 7:30 a.m. Saturday (10 December), they received a report of an attack at a residence off Eastern Avenue.
Officers found a man bleeding from multiple cuts. He remains in hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Police have charged the suspect with assault causing grievous bodily harm. He is on police bail.
