Santa arrives on boat, sled is in the shop

Santa gives his reindeer the night off as he docked up in style last night, bringing Christmas cheer along the waterfront.

Sailing down here eight years in a row, this annual occasion allows family and friends to get photos taken with the big man, as he supports an effort to raise money and pet supplies for the local charity “One dog at a time,” which gets dogs out of the pound and into foster homes, until they find a new owner in the U.S or Canada.

“Our favorite part about Christmas is santa and family and just enjoying the season,” said Attendee, Lindsay Thompson.

“I think it’s great we had a baby whose not even been a month old, we have older kids that have been coming for years, since they were this high and now they are this high, so it’s a really good way to kick off the Christmas season,” said Lucy Brewer from One Dog at a Time.
