Trial dates set in robbery, arson cases

Trial dates were set Friday (9 December) in two noteworthy cases in Grand Court.  The couple accused of robbing Mitzi’s Fine Jewelry in November 2015 will stand trial beginning 1 May 2017.
Madeinys Ebanks-Pol and Adrian Adela Gea are both charged with robbery, and Mr. Gea is also charged with possession of an imitation firearm.
Ms. Ebanks-Pol was working in the store at the time, and Mr. Gea is accused of being the gunman who stole $516,000 worth of jewelry in the hold-up.  The two pleaded not guilty to all of the charges and remain free on bail until next year’s trial.
