Violent on-campus threats at CIFEC require police response

Some tense moments this morning at CIFEC, where police responded to a report of a student making violent threats on-campus.

Employees described a few moments of chaos as they were told there was a bomb threat. Staff and students gathered in the car park while police and fire service crews contained the threat.

Police told Cayman 27 a search of the campus was conducted. No devices or harmful materials were found, and campus activity returned to normal.

The student was interviewed by police, but no arrests have been made. The incident is still under investigation.
