$2.1 million for secure youth facility

Government has budgeted $2.1 million to build a new secure youth facility in West Bay, near the existing Bonaventure Boys home.

Minister for Community Affairs, Youth and Sports Hon. Osbourne Bodden confirmed the figure this week.

The home is slated as an alternative to Eagle House and will house children convicted of crimes deemed to display “high risk” behaviour.
