Two people are injured following a shooting outside a West Bay Road nightclub.
Emergency services responded to the shooting outside Fete nightclub, according to an email sent by a police spokesperson early Saturday (4 February) morning.
Police say they got the call about 3:15am to a report of shots fired outside the club. Officers say their initial reports indicated that two persons had been shot. However, once they arrived on scene they realised one man, age 26, was injured with a gunshot wound, while a second male, age 29, was hit with a gun.
Both men were taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital. Police report the 26-year-old male remains in hospital in stable condition and his injury is not believed to be immediately life-threatening. The second man discharged himself from the hospital.
Fete was the scene of another shooting on 26 December that left a teenager in the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.
