Burger Shack wins 8th straight Coed Flag Football championship

After suffering their first defeat in five years at the hands of Deloitte, Burger Shack would exact revenge to win 28-12 in the Coed Flag Football Championships Friday (18 May) securing their 8th straight title.

“I just think we have a great group, our philosophy, our approach and everything has always been successful in this league. We have been running the same scheme for nine years. We have a lot of talent, and everyone understands the scheme. We believe if we do what we are supposed to do, we will always win” said Burger Shack’s Perry Levy.

Burger Shack came out of the gate strong with Levy catching a 40-yard bomb from William Peguero to opening the scoring. On the ensuing drive, Levy picked off Deloitte quarterback Jamie Stephen at midfield, taking it all the way to the house for the touchdown.

Peguero later found Terry Ballard for their third touchdown of the game. Jon Pump however would get Deloitte on the board in the second half, making two Burger Shack defenders miss before scampering into the end zone.
